10 Questions To Ask Yourself If You Have Wrist Pain

If you have pain in your wrist, you could have something called carpal tunnel syndrome. If you’re wondering if you have carpal tunnel, there are some questions to ask yourself. While there are no proven preventative strategies for carpal tunnel syndrome, you may be engaging in some activities and habits that could be leading to it.

  1. Do you use an ergonomically correct workstation structure and posture?
  2. Do you work for long periods of time without breaks?
  3. Are you overweight or obese?
  4. Are you experiencing pain, numbness or weakness in your wrists?
  5. Do you sleep on your hands?
  6. When you hold things, do you forcefully grip them?
  7. Do you do regular hand and wrist exercises?
  8. Do you practice good posture with your back straight and feet flat on the ground?
  9. Do you tilt or bend your wrist while typing or doing other repetitive activities for work or play?
  10. Do you typically work in a cold work environment and your wrists are not kept warm?
